Description:
The NASE Worldwide Open Water Scuba Instructor is the first instructor rating level that can be earned in the NASE Worldwide Instructor Program. During training instructor candidate will understand Standards and Procedures, teaching methods, and increase their understanding of underwater risk management and their legal obligations to their students. They also fine-tune their confined water and open water demonstration and teaching skills. Qualifications of Graduates Open Water Scuba Instructors are qualified to: • Teach all NASE and NASE Worldwide non-member courses through Rescue Diver. • Teach and certify NASE/NASE Worldwide Divemaster. • Teach the Night Diver, Deep Diver, and Navigation specialties. • Teach all NASE/NASE Worldwide Dive Experience programs. This course will be on May 13 & 14 and May 20 & 21, 2011. (2 weekends)

The ITC is a 9 day course designed to train and qualify instructor candidates. During the course candidates learn effective methods to teach skin and scuba diving in compliance with NAUI-NASE-PDIC-HSA course standards. Prerequisites: *-Passing the NAUI-PDIC-HSA Instructor Prequalification Exam with a score of 75% or better *-Dive Certification - Dive Master, Assistant Instructor or a NAUI Prep program completed within the last 12 months *-Equipment - provide and be responsible for own instructor level diving equipment, suitable for teaching *-Experience - 50 logged dives - varied in environment, depth and activities *-Materials - contact our course director *-Dive Master or Assistant Instructor Certification

Dive Master, or an open water scuba instructor. Our staff course director, has over 25 years of diving experience. He is committed to training you to become the best open water scuba instructor you can be. Our comprehensive instructor training programs are both fun and educational. You will learn how to teach in the class room, pool and open water. Your skills will be evaluated the same day which gives you the feedback to challenge you to become an even better open water instructor.
